God's Plan of Salvation

God loves you and desires a relationship with you. The Holy Bible reveals His plan for salvation so you can have forgiveness, peace, and eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Today is the day of salvation — respond to God’s call now. "Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." — 2 Corinthians 6:2

1. Admit Your Need for Salvation
No one can reach Heaven by their own merit. Even our best efforts fall short.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; - Romans 3:23
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9
2. Recognize the Penalty for Sin, Repent, and Come to God.
Sin has a consequence: eternal separation from God in Hell. Turn away sin and towards God with a willing heart.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out… — Acts 3:19
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:23
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: - Hebrews 9:27
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. - Revelation 21:8
3. Believe in Christ’s Sacrifice
Jesus showed His love by dying on the cross for our sins, rising again to give us life.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:6-8
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. - John 14:6
We can be confident that our salvation is secure in Christ
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son… These things have I written unto you… that ye may know that ye have eternal life. — 1 John 5:11‑13
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. - 1 Peter 2:24
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: - 1 Peter 3:18
4. Receive Jesus as Lord and Savior
Eternal life is God’s gift, received by faith and confession.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. - John 5:24
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10:9-10
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:13
5. Be baptized into Christ.
Baptism is an act of obedience and identification with Christ.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. - Acts 2:38
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. - Mark 16:16
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. - Galatians 3:27
6. Remain Faithful.
Faithfulness leads to eternal life.
Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. - Revelation 2:10
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. - James 1:12
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. - 1 Peter 5:4
7. Persevere and Live in Blessed Hope.
Persevere through trials, looking forward to Christ’s return.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: - Romans 5:3-4
Hope: Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. - Titus 2:13

Salvation, by the Book

Jesus Christ died for the entire world John 3:16; 1 John 2:2
but we were all born under God’s wrath, hopeless in our sin Ephesians 2:3, Romans 3:23.
God made a Way John 14:6:
He came in the flesh as Jesus Christ 1 Timothy 3:16, John 1:14,
lived the perfect life we could never live Hebrews 4:15,
and gave His life on the cross Philippians 2:8, Romans 5:8.
By His blood we are cleansed 1 John 1:7, Revelation 1:5,
by His resurrection we are made alive Romans 6:4; 1 Peter 1:3.
This gift of grace is offered to all Titus 2:11,
but many reject it and remain condemned John 3:18, Matthew 7:13.
If we believe on Jesus Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9,
we will take up our cross daily Luke 9:23,
die to self Galatians 2:20,
and live for Him 2 Corinthians 5:15.
Those who love God will keep His commandments John 14:15; 1 John 5:3.
The unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Will you come to Christ today? The Way is open. The time is now.

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. — 2 Corinthians 6:2
